Robertshaw has been building dependable thermostats for 30 years
and I've had good success with them also. If you're going with a heat pump
you'll need a model that is 2 heat/2 cool equipped. These thermostats will match
any system you purchase on this site, most that are installed in the field now
and will provide years of precise temperature control, you just need to set it
and forget it
I know a lot of people want to know what the difference is
between a 5-2 programmable thermostat and a 7 day. A 5-2 lets you set a program
for the week days (that's the 5) and another for the week-end (that's the 2) so
once you set up a program for Monday it sets all days of the week up the same,
and the same goes for the week-end. A 7 day programmable lets you set each day
individually. A lot more flexibility in the 7 day. It really depends on your
individual life style as to which would be the best for you.
